46 Cute and themed restaurants in Miami Beach (2024)

Giannis, formerly the Versace Mansions restaurant, is a luxurious and popular mediterranean seafood restaurant decked out in frescoes, mosaics, and a gold-lined pool. The menu includes lobster spaghetti, octopus carpaccio, and mushroom risotto which can be expensive but offer a $34 lunch menu on Monday-Sunday 11:00am to 4:30pm.

Lovely experience here. Loved my food and the dessert as well. We made reservations a month prior since it can be difficult to reserve. We had lunch at the fixed price menu.We sat outside which was nice it was a beautiful day, and we were able to take pictures. The waiters were amazing and attentive as well, and made good recommendations.

Good place to have lunch. Their $34, 3 course menu is worth it. The food tasted great and was generously portioned. The service was great as well.We sat outside, and it was quite hot, but that’s Miami for you! Beware of sitting on the lower “pool deck” area as it’s filled with tourists taking pictures. We sat on the balcony portion and could enjoy our meal in peace.Great experience! Definitely recommend it for lunch!

This restaurant is incredibly beautiful and the outdoor seating is nice, relaxing and private despite being right on south beach. The interior is a bit packed tablewise, but there’s room to move around still. The service is top tier, but the food is a bit overpriced for what you get.I got the spinach raviolis and my sister got the gnocchi and both were delicious, but they were small. The co*cktails and wines are pretty overpriced too, co*cktails are upwards of $25 and wines go up from about $16.You definitely should come here once to experience the place, you come here for the vibes not the food though.

It’s worthy to see this restaurant. The arquitecture and design is the most relevant thing. The quality of food is good. The price is high for what the restaurant offers, is not bad, it’s just that doesn’t match with the high quality.Service is good. The atmosphere is romantic, cozy, a little bit noisy.Reservation is a must.Dress code proper for something casual-elegant.

Maria K — Google review

The atmosphere was beautiful and the vibes were great. We did the lunch special which was $36 for an appetizer, entree, drink and dessert. Alcohol was an extra charge, but they were delicious. The food was delicious I just wish there was more options. And it’s a cute place for pictures! Don’t forget reservations!

***Platinum Diamond Review*** This place is 1000% worth the hype and more! It is hands down one of the BEST dining experiences I've ever had. Yes, you can afford to eat lunch here! It is $34 per person for their lunch special. It is every day! You get to select an appetizer, entree, and dessert from their list. They have a dress code. It is business casual. This place is spectacular. The decor of the Versace Mansion is gorgeous. The service is impeccable. Our waiter, Scott, really made our experience special. The food is an absolute dream. The Margherita Pizza here is the best I have ever eaten in my life. I really cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are going to go anywhere in South Beach to eat, this place is absolutely where you want to be. Your money is well spent here.

I dine at Gianni's restaurant for my birthday, located in the stunning former Versace mansion, and it was a unique experience. The atmosphere is nothing short of fantastic, with its opulent decor and historic charm, making it a perfect location for photos. The restaurant offers a lunch prix fixe menu starting at $40, but be prepared to spend at least $100 or more per person, considering the additional cost of co*cktails. The food was good, though not extraordinary, and the ambiance made the experience worthwhile. One minor drawback is the parking, which can be quite difficult in this area. Additionally, being so close to the beach adds to the overall appeal. However, once you're inside, the ambiance and the overall experience more than make up for it. Overall, Gianni's is a wonderful place for a special dining experience and a chance to immerse yourself in a bit of history.

I'm not impressed, but I'll be back. The food quality? Decent, but nothing special. I've had better and more flavorful food than the chicken and potatoes I ate here at other restaurants. It's like I've tasted this cheap gravy before, perhaps in a hospital, served out of can or bag and poured over food on to a piece of chicken that isn't that tender or juicy. The service? A disappointment. We had to ask 3 times before bread and butter was delivered to the table. They didn't come back to refill our water until we were just about done with the meal, though the original waiter that took our order was OK, and gave us honest feedback about this places shortcomings. They were right, and I really appreciate their warnings and criticisms.I've been to Miami many times, and to this restaurant several times. They've really gone downhill. Be that as it may, I keep coming back to here with friends of mine who are visiting Miami for their first time who love to check out higher end dining experiences with ambience and history like this. Unfortunately or fortunately, they're easily impressed, so I keep coming back here, showing it to my friends who really love it, but I've had better. Also, I'm dissapointed in how they don't enforce the dress code. People come here for ambience, no? A fine dining experience? I follow the dress code, but lots of other people here don't. There were quite a few adult guests who were dressed in sleeveless shirts, flip flops, and t-shirts with ridiculous graphics and words on them. I remember mention of a dress code on their website, but it seems like the staff don't seem to care in creating the ambience of an upscale or fine dining experience. This restaurant has slowly become designated as a 'tourist trap' in my eyes...a tourist trap that I suppose is worth visiting at least once in your life, especially if you like a little bit of an upscale feel and history mixed in with your brunch/lunch/dinner.Miami is like another home to me. I'm in the city often. Undoubtedly I'll have more friends swinging by for their first time who'll want to check this place out, and not see the same flaws that I see. With that said, I'm disappointed, but will be back eventually maybe.

Upscale, luxurious, great food, excellent service and atmosphere. This was one of the absolute best dining experiences I've ever had.My only complaint is that there was an influencer who spent 45 minutes taking pictures of herself eating spaghetti in front of the pool - and she kept pulling away our waitress and the busboy to take photos and hold her lighting rig. Please don't encourage these people. It's nice to see couples and guests walking up and taking pictures in front of the pool, but this woman kind of dominated the evening for us. Bummer.

Paolo was the most fabulous server ever!! Our table side desert service was awesome as was the rest of the meal. All the food was great, the mansion itself was beautiful, ambience was wonderful and the whole evening was great. Made a last minute reservation and got the most perfect table right by the pool. Definitely somewhere to stop when coming to Miami.

Delicious food with gorgeous views! Everything was cooked to perfection! The filet mignon was so tender and literally melted in my mouth. The salad was so crisp and fresh. It was a little disappointing that steak didn’t come with any sides, (which had to be purchased separately) but the sides were delicious and enough to share for the table. I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat because the food was just amazing!

The location is stunning! I would say it’s one of the most beautiful places for dining. We had lunch with my friend and loved the food, but also the excellent service. They were attentional but not overwhelming.Food-wise, considering the location and price, it was highly worth it!Great experience and I would go back, for sure!Bravissimi 👏🏽

Knocked it out of park! Reservations required. No flip flops. Attire - dress it up, classy ambiance , good vibes and energy. Greeted at the entrance, seated punctually, Enzo was our helper and the service was on point, whatever we needed, and more often staff was refilling water and making sure we happy. I had the NY Steak, 10/10, prepared medium, paired with asparagus, carrots, and broccolini 😋🤩🔥 …delicious. My girlfriend had the tiger prawns, also very delicious, and lastly the What the Splash for dessert, definitely a shareable and what a treat to end the night. Really impressed. Will be back to try the pasta. Thank you Gianni for a spectacular night 🙏💯

Had heard a lot of good things about the place so was really looking forward to it. The two things that help the restaurant are the service an the ambiance. The mansion is beautiful and the servers are warm. However, the food is pretty mediocre in general. Add to that the pretty premium you pay, I’d say check your expectations before you go.

Beautiful place to enjoy with date that you want to impress. Food portions are small but okay. Have your drinks and conversation ready because the time between appetizers, entrees and dessert is about 15 minutes after your finish the prior. Our meal took 2+ hours from start to finish. 20% gratitude is automatically added but consider adding more if your waiter adds value to your night out

Lovely facility. I had the ravioli, excellent dish. Drinks were very good. Prices are responsible for the area. Absolutely picturesque. A perfect spot for your social photos. A wonderful treat for us.

Let me tell you, if you want a great dining experience, this place will not sell you short. Amazing staff, great food, exquisite decor and atmosphere. Came here for my birthday and had the best time. I will definitely be returning here. Thank you for this experience!

Visiting Gianni’s Versace former mention was a great idea for a date night, while visiting Miami. Would recommend to reserve a table online at least 3-4 days prior your date, as you may get rejected right at the door. Everything in this building is just stunning! All of the Fresca and stone work are just masterpiece, absolutely beautiful. Service is nice, fast and polite. Menu is pretty simple, but this is enough. Food was delicious and super fresh. Overall, it was an amazing date night out with my hubby. We’ve enjoyed this beautiful restaurant. Will definitely visit it again when we back to Miami.

Definitely a nice experience.Got there for lunch, it's a fixed price 34$ ( actually 45$ after tip and tax) menu with an appetizer, main course and dessert.Artichoke Salad was great, nice portion and we'll seasoned. The Pizza was better though. Main dish was just fine maybe a little small. For dessert I recommend the Mango ice cream, it was the best of all 3 it tried.Overall it's a nice experience to be in the mansion and have lunch there, the food is not overwhelming but not bad either.

I recently had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was exceptional. Our waitress, Laura, truly stood out as she went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. From the moment we sat down, Laura greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor. She took the time to explain the menu and offer suggestions based on our preferences. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she was able to answer any questions we had about the dishes.Throughout our meal, Laura checked in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. She was attentive without being overbearing, and she made us feel like valued guests. Her positive attitude and genuine interest in our dining experience were much appreciated. Not only was Laura an excellent server, but she was also a joy to interact with. She was personable, engaging, and took the time to chat with us about our day. Her friendly demeanor added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere of the restaurant.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant, and I highly recommend requesting Laura as your server. She made our dining experience unforgettable, and we cannot wait to return and see her again.

If you're in South Beach, you must come here. This was a great experience. Unfortunately, we couldn't tour the entire area. However, the intricate placing of the restaurant was perfect. Out on the terrace in front of the wading pool. If you can get a seat closer to the pool, it would be awesome. It is easier to take your pictures, however extremely intruding from others wanting that photo op. It's still worth it. Make sure to the a dessert, that will continue the WOW factor you will receive.

The place is beautiful. Most of the staff was amazing. The girls at the front gate were incredibly rude when we arrived. But the others inside, They helped us celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I had a shoe malfunction, they went above and beyond to help me. All of the food was so good- Truffle Gnocchi, Spaghetti, & Filets.

Went for birthday lunch and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is top notch! The service was excellent and I felt the value for the lunch menu was amazing for Miami beach! I had the three course lunch meal for $36 which I got the burrata salad, the lobster spaghetti (which was an extra $15) and finished it with the brownie! All delicious! Even the complimentary table bread was delicious!

A must do pricey experience if spending time in SOBE Miami. The ambiance offers a glimpse into a lifestyle of glam. Glitz can be enjoyed from the moment you ascend the entrance staircase, check-in is in the opulent courtyard and dining is poolside. Selections are pricey. You’re there for the experience and we all agreed that the desserts were tastier than the apps or entrees.

I'll start with, its a must do experience just for it being the former Versace Mansion. Will we go back again? No.Make a reservation in advance.Prepare for at least 30 minutes to find parking in the area.Once we arrived, we checked in with the hostess and she took us to our table. We got seated and reviewed the lunch menu.We waited quite a while just to get drinks ordered. By the time she came by, we ordered drinks, lunch and dessert to ensure we wouldn't need her again.Things came out slow. We thought we would be there an hour max and instead it took just over 2 hours from the time we got seated, to the time we got the check, which was crazy for a lunch during a weekday. The fried shrimp is amazing. Order that for sure.I had the Spinach Ravioli, it was okay, but I couldn't finish after finding 2 hairs in the sauce.Husband has the Rotisserie, it was raw in some parts, and the potatoes (although tasty) were cold when they came out.For dessert, he had the brownie, which was just okay and I had the banana cream pudding and that was by far my favorite along with the shrimp.I say go, for the experience and to say you've been, but definitely request a different table if you get put in the back with the other redheaded step children because the service is definitely not worth the automatic 20% tip.We paid $130 for 2 lunch specials, 1 co*ke and 1 Sprite (that includes the automatic 20% and the 9% taxes) for reference.

Great interior and food was relatively good. I’m not sure if the service staff is familiar with Italian dining experience even though it is an Italian restaurant. Service charge 20% is directly included and they still like to catch unaware people for additional tips. Go for a drink and just have a view of the fine mansion.

Lunch at Gianni's is an experience you should not miss! While we enjoyed a South Beach trip we could not miss a meal at this restaurant in the Versace Mansion. We had the fixed price lunch and it was amazing. Several selections for appetizers, main dish and dessert. The service is world class, friendly, attentive and helpful.Do not forget to enjoy the architecture while you enjoy your meal.

I made a reservation for four. We were guaranteed 1:45pm. We arrived at 1:40pm only to be told to wait or buy drinks at the bar until our table was ready. I bought two drinks for $22.00 each plus a service fee and tip. Waiting to be seated resulted in an almost approximate 1 hour wait beyond the reservation. When seated, we were taken to an enclosed dining room without scenery, opposing our desired patio and poolside request. When we shared our displeasure, we were told to wait again and there were no seats available in our desired area.We decided to wait, but while waiting , we observed 5 later reservation parties be escorted to the area we were told was at capacity. Several had the same number of guests in their party. When asking the hostesses how that was possible, they shunned our concerns. I will not expound upon the observed differences. Use Discernment.I then called the reservation line and was told she couldn't help us, to find the manager. I did identify the manager who was very nonchalant, stating, " Maybe they reserved before you...". I assured the one family did not for I heard the Italian father express his dislike of the same dining area and was told, "Give us a few seconds to change it.". They in fact sat them within minutes, again in the area we asked for.I addressed the manager once again and told him, their lack of concern for the overbooking, delay in seating, and inconsiderate responses was humiliating. I also told him he never knows who he is addressing." We finally acquired seating in the area that was, "unavailable".We were so insulted and upset, our experience was diminished. Had it not been for my friend who had obsessed over the Versace experience, we would have left, not spending over $350.00, especially to a company that isn't sensitive to diversity. The drinks were very well made and although the food portions were very small, they were well made.I was disappointed in the lack of organization of the establishment, proving they are more concerned with profits than people. It was indeed very commercialized and chaotic.Maybe I am used to quality and professional service, but it was an inexcusable experience.I'm more frustrated that no one cared and they probably will not be enhanced. What's most challenging is that my affiliations with the influential can birth a social media storm that will greatly impact the Gianni restaurant's reputation and future. Do I share my experience with them or not?I believe that because of my true intentions and their disregard for our presence will cost them more. One day, they too may remember that everyone is someone and is deserving of respect.Should you frequent? It all depends on your self worth. However, just consider that No one cares until it happens to them.

The atmosphere here is breath taking, to say the least! The design and decoration alone feels like you stepped into the world of fashion! The service was phenomenal as well. Each person that addressed you was very kind and considerate. The appetizers, I had the fried shrimp and my wife had the margherita pizza. The pizza was delicious, the shrimp in my personal opinion lacked seasoning. It was still edible, nonetheless. The main course, my wife had the spinach and ricotta ravioli, I had the chicken a la rotisserie and that came with roasted potatoes. After tasting the shrimp, I lowered my expectations for the potatoes and chicken. Fortunately, I was sadly mistaken. It was delicious! My wife also enjoyed her ravioli! I had a 24 Karat Golden Margarita as well. It was good also. We also had dessert. My wife chose the strawberry shortcake, and I had the brownie. She enjoyed it, I wasn’t really feeling the brownie too much. It did look nice! After eating, we had an opportunity to take some photos in front of the infamous Versace pool. It was definitely a lunch to remember. Would I suggest you to go, if you have the time and make the reservation, most definitely! I would suggest to dress ready to take some pictures!

I had the famed prix fixe lunch special, and it was an amazing value. The mansion interior is spectacular, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Three courses for $38. The burrata appetizer I chose is $26 alone on the dinner menu. It was ample, with basil, arugula, olive oil, and lots of halved grape tomatoes. The entree of spinach & ricotta ravioli was also great, with a tasty brown butter sauce, sage leaves, and a few micro greens. I chose the raspberry sorbet for dessert. The portion was two scoops and was a perfect, slightly sweet finish.

It's stunning. The hostesses were so professional and we were warmly greeted. The lounge bartender was fantastic (and super cute). Grab a drink, walk around and enjoy the moment. We were seated very close to our reservation time, but I understand how a restaurant works so I would have had no problem waiting and enjoying the breathtaking surroundings. When you get inside the restaurant, take a moment and look around. Wow. The atmosphere is worth every penny. We were seated in a lovely table and had an amazing server, Pamela. She didn't rush us, let us enjoy our dinner and was spot on with recommendations. I hate feeling rushed at restaurants and we NEVER felt hurried. We had the charcuterie board for a starter, a pasta for our 2nd course and steaks for our third. The portions are very nice and the prices are normal for any nice restaurant in South Beach. Perfect night. Thank you!

Go for the experience and the nice instagrammable photos of the restaurant interior. The restaurant was fully packed on a Sunday afternoon and it was noisy and definitely not a great place to relax nor chill. The food was relatively decent and nice. Spent about USD110 for a meal for 2.However, I was personally not impressed by the service of the restaurant and it was definitely not worth the 20% service charge slapped onto the bill. We ordered a Riesling wine which did not come. When our spaghetti arrived, no servers came to ask if we needed grated cheese while I noticed a few other tables got it. I requested twice to have my dessert changed to the strawberry cake and nothing was done to meet that request.Verdict : Good to go for a drink and some instagrammable photos but can give the restaurant/meals a miss.

The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the hostesses… disorganized as to who was next after arriving … we waited another 10 minutes after our text that our table was ready .. the right hand didn’t know what the left hand was doing … and NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL …. That being said , Marco our server definitely made up for any bad experiences when arriving…. Marco’s service was OUTSTANDING and friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and the restaurant history …thanks for the great experience Marco …. Maybe he should train the hostesses …. Just saying …

Magical and magnificent experience! We didn't wait long for our table, we were seated right next to the gorgeous pool, and our server, Laura O., was AMAZING! She was upbeat, professional, attentive, and friendly. She really made our experience fantastic! It felt like we were in another world. The fixed price lunch was a good deal. We started with co*cktails (24 karat golden margarita was really good) and then I had the margherita pizza, the spinach and ricotta ravioli, and the chocolate brownie. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is alive and fun. Good food, great service, beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend!

The cozy and luxury place with a professional service. This villa has a good decoration that you can take a picture at any corner. We had a warm dinner with our family and friends for the first time visit Miami. The location is good for walking along the beach and enjoy the windy from sea, cool atmosphere.

Visited for a birthday dinner on a Saturday evening. Reservations recommended and you will need entire party to be seated. We visited the lobby bar while waiting and were easily seated when our entire party was present. Staff was friendly and courteous and gave good recommendations for entrees and desserts. My spaghetti pomodoro was good nothing too fancy. The decor and atmosphere is stunning and opulent and it’s nice to see the mosaic pool in person (you can easily walk down and take photos in front or around the lobby). I took ride share to the restaurant who are unable to drop off in front of the restaurant which is the valet area. The walk to restaurant was minimal. menu Prices are $$-$$$
