The Peer Ministry Program here is amazing – it's like having a second family. We have had the opportunity to do so many service projects out in the community and the experience has been eye-opening. I know I will continue to look for opportunities like this when I get to college. The Director of College and School Counseling has been super helpful with college applications and keeping me on track. Also, being able to take college courses in small classes while in high school has been awesome too – I know I am prepared for the next step. Fairfield Prep has truly made me into a "Grad at Grad" that is open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, loving, committed to doing justice. I have explored all of these facets on a daily basis, whether it be on the ice for hockey, in class, or after school in the Jazz Band. I have grown out of my shell and become more social. I have continued to be intellectually competent. I have explored religion inside and outside of my classes. I am loving and try my best to do unto others I would wish to have done to me. It's diverse with plenty of different types of students both in a racially diverse sense and in a sense that you can always find a group to be around. The teachers are good with some that some students do not like. It offers all types of activities, academic adventures, and opportunities. As much as I know, I can rave about this school, but there are also downsides, like every school out there. As a boarding student at a school with a majority of day students, I feel like residential life does not interact with day students outside the school environment. It can be lonely most days and can be very frustrating to navigate life during these moments. Also, the opportunities for boarding students to go out and do the same things as day students are limited. Besides the limited opportunities to adventure outside residential life, the moments and memories are what I look forward to and look back on.
